Meet our Staff

One of the most critical components of any successful sports program is the coaching staff. The Champions Volleyball Club is proud to have some of the most successful junior volleyball coaches in the United States on our staff.

Our coaches are the only Orlando-based volleyball coaches that have won a National Junior Olympic title, and they have won five of them at the 12U level. In addition our coaches have a 3rd place finish at the 14U level and 5th place finish in the 16U level. Our expertise is specifically on developing youth ages 9-14 into elite volleyball players that have the potential to lead varsity high school teams and are able to compete at the collegiate levels, should they so desire.

CARMELO ELEUTIZA:

Carmelo started playing volleyball at age seven, and eventually played both at the collegiate and professional levels in his homeland of Puerto Rico. He has over 17 years experience in coaching elite youth volleyball. In his first year of coaching, Carmelo led A.R.S.E.L's 16U girls to become the first-ever Puerto Rican National Champions. Carmelo has been an incredibly successful coach ever since this first win. His coaching record includes winning five U.S. Junior Olympic Championships in the 12U girls division, winning the U.S. Junior Olympic Championships in the 14U girls division and taking third place in the boys 16U division at the U.S. National Junior Olympics.

Carmelo was also the former head coach for the City of Toa Baja professional volleyball league, where his team earned a record of 53-16 in his first two years. In his third year, his team went undefeated and won the league championship. Carmelo also was an assistant coach for the Captains of Arecibo and Llaneras of Toa Baja, a professional volleyball league in Puerto Rico.

In 2004, Carmelo moved his family to Florida. Carmelo coached for two years at the Orlando Volleyball Academy where his 13U girls team became the Florida state champions, took 5th place at AAU National Championships, and earned a bid to the U.S. National Junior Olympics.

JULIE FIORETTI:

While in college at UCF, Julie was one of the founders the UCF women's volleyball club, where she held the position of Vice President of this club when she played. Julie was also the head coach of the U16 St. Cloud club team in 2004.

Julie graduated from UCF in May 2006 with a BA in Advertising/Public Relations and a BS in Liberal Studies. She presently works as an administrator for Champions Volleyball.
